a “new” room

October 8, 2010

For Hudson’s birthday, we painted and decorated his room to make it “Pirate-y”.  The boy’s spent the night at mymom’s so that I could work on this transformation.
Now Clint think’s that I”ll eventually have to give up, but at this point, I still am rather particular when it comes to decorating my house, so we had to figure out somthing that would flip not only my switch, but Hudson’s too!  But we managed, and I think that we’re both rather pleased with the way things turned out.

Also, little brother Cline moved into the bottom bunk, so we had to come up with a solution for Hudson’s legos which had been in the top bunk out of Cline’s reach.  I saved a desk bottom from the dumpster, and then cut down and stained an old door for the desk top, and viola -  a cheap lego table with storage boxes beneath to keep the lego sets organized.

julie lehman: Great job!! Love the room!! julie :)

Dana: good work amos...ask hudson if I can take a nap with him sometime!

admin: i'm sure he'd be up for it - don't know if you'd really want to though!

fun at the park

September 13, 2010

Some of us gals got together at the park for this handsome fellow’s birthday.  Doesn’t he just have the prettiest eye’s; they’re so dark and shiny!

We had a great time!

and there’s just something about water that little boys just can’t resist….my boy’s really do own shirts, they just prefer not to wear them!

law enforcement

August 11, 2010

Hudson informs me that Cline is the sheriff, and he’s the deputy; I have a feeling that Cline’s position could be in jeopardy as soon when Hudson figures out that the sheriff is the boss.
And now they’re off to go catch those Duke boys!

jenna: adorable. but my favorite... the cat. It makes the boys look not so tough to have this big fluffy cat trying to get some love from cline. cute cute!

admin: hey, if Rosco can have flash, I guess that the boys need their cat, "Enos"

Dana: they are so squeezable! and they get their creativity from you Amy!

January 28, 2010

in case my last post gave you the wrong impression of my precious boy, here are a few more pics to give you a well rounded perspective -  i love my hudson just the way he is!

Dana Aschliman: love the picuture of clint and hudson! I am so jealous of their eyes...why didn't I get blessed with blue eyes??

kay gerber: i haven't checked your blog for a long time. it was a fun visit, thanks. pics are g r e a t !!!!

please come back snow!

January 27, 2010

this winter, clint and hudson (and even cline) have been having such a great time together outside in the snow.  and when they get together with some of hudson’s buddies and their daddies it’s extra great!

i’m afraid now that the snow is gone, we’re getting a slight case of cabin fever……….ok, in hudson’s case, i’m afraid it’s getting rather serious!

now i didn’t grow up in a household of boys, so all this “manliness” is quite a shocker to me! but it’s all perfectly normal, right????

Dana Aschliman: yes he is normal! just thankful he is all boy:) cute blog!

Jessica: LOVE the dress up pictures...and yes- he is normal- or at least we are in the same boat! :)

fiechter girls handbook

January 6, 2010

for those of you out there who may be a little curious, or just slightly confused and befuddeled when it comes to this large group of girls, i’ve come up with a little diagram/dictionary to help out.

(this is for you, joel……welcome to the family!)

i started on “strange but true” facts, and the “fiechter family 10 commandments”, but only got as far as:

1.  Thou shalt take thy wife home regularly for visits

maybe i’ll work on them latter……lol

Sarah F: LOVED this post, Amy! So great! I enjoyed getting to know your family better ;) Very creative!!!

Dana Aschliman: What a great idea, especially for Joel. What a variety of personalities and characteristics you all have!! You were a little hard on yourself though...you are my favorite!

cory: Commandment #2: If you buy a pair of shoes, you must throw away a pair of shoes! (origin of brilliant commandment: Alex N). PS. boots are classified as shoes! Cory
